Group Training Ride, Saturday, May 11


Ride Start Location: Saratoga State Park, Spa Little Theatre Lot, next to the Gideon Putnam Hotel parking lot, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866
Ride Start Time: 7:30 am for ALL riders (you must be ready to ride at 7:30 am)
Please email Len Putnick (put nick@siena.edu) if you are planning on riding Saturday and please check your email before heading out on Saturday morning just in case there are any rain delays or cancellations.
Mileage: 75 miles. 

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO EMAIL LEN BY FRIDAY WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE RIDING ON SATURDAY.  

Terrain: This course is very scenic filled with rolling hills, and has 1 Cat 5 hill climb in the middle of the ride.
Notes: 

1)  Amy will be driving the SAG vehicle for this ride. Thanks again Amy!
The SAG will be equipped with the usual; a first aid kit, water, and snacks. Feel free to bring your own snacks and beverages that need to be chilled to be put in the cooler (until full). You may put additional clothing in the SAG for later use or you can ditch layers as you progress through the ride if needed as well. NO LARGE BAGS/COOLERS WILL BE ALLOWED. There is only so much space available so please only bring what you think you will need. We need extra space available if someone needs to be taken off the course.

2) There are 2 Scheduled Rest Stops along the way at miles 41(Stewart's), and 65 (Stewart's). There are 2 other optional stops at mile 9 and 22 that are noted on the cue sheet.

3) Make sure you bring all bike gear needed...HELMETS, bike pump, saddle bags with tools and such to fix a flat, water bottles filled with electrolyte replacement, and nutritional needs. Layer up, remember, more is better, you will be able to ditch anything after the first loop if you need to.

Time: TBD; Directly after bike drop off
Why: This party is for all of you Tahoe riders...You are the stars of this event!
Your coaches, mentors, and TNT/LLS would like to congratulate and celebrate all of your accomplishments with you thus far. You have all done an amazing job fundraising, training, etc., and we can't thank you enough for all that you have done to help with the mission of LLS. Please join us in this celebration for you! 
RSVP: By Saturday, May 11. Please let me know how many will be in your party.
We will have food, drinks, and I'm sure enough laughter to go around. 
We should be distributing your TNT jersey's at this event. 
WHO'S INVITED: All riders (VT riders too!) who have been joining us throughout the season are welcome too attend and help celebrate with your fellow riders. This means, all current participants, Peak Season pre-registered riders, TNT alumni, coaches and mentors are all welcome. 
YOUR SUPPORT CREWS AND HONOREES WELCOME! Spouses, and significant others welcome to come celebrate too. I would also like to encourage you to bring your honored patient(s) that we have been riding for throughout the season. These people are the reasons why we ride, and why we are trying so hard to find a cure. I would love for them to be a part of this special day. If you are riding in memory of someone and have a photo you'd like to display that hasn't been on the website, please feel free to bring one, two, or how ever many you choose.
