Group Training Ride, Saturday May 2

Ride Start Location: 
Coach Mel's House: 3 Battery Blvd., Mechanicville 12118
Ride Start Time:  

8 am (you must be ready to ride at 8 am so please come prepared)
Mileage: 
Approximately 45 miles.

Directions:
From South: Take Northway I-87 to EXIT 9, toward US-9/Halfmoon/Mechanicville/Stillwater. Follow RTE-146 E (crossing RTE. 9) for about 2.5 miles, turn LEFT onto RTE-146 (Toyota dealership in front of you). RTE-146 will turn into RTE 32 at light. Follow into Mechanicville, go through town all the way until the end. Price Chopper in front of you. Make LEFT onto RTE. 67. Go to first traffic light, make RIGHT onto Viall Ave. Bear LEFT going up hill staying on Viall Ave. Continue up hill around the bend, turn RIGHT onto BATTERY BLVD. #3 is the second house in on the LEFT. 

From North: Take I-87 S to EXIT 11. Turn LEFT, go through roundabout onto Roundlake Bypass (2nd exit), Enter next roundabout and take the 2nd exit onto RTE-67. At first traffic light turn LEFT onto VIALL AVE. Bear LEFT going up hill staying on Viall Ave. Continue up hill around the bend, turn RIGHT onto BATTERY BLVD. #3 is the second house in on the LEFT. Terrain:This course scenic filled with rolling hills and a few more challenging hills.

Notes:
1) You can park on my driveway if you wish, there's room for about 5 cars, maybe more. If you are parking on the street making sure not to block any mailboxes. You must give the mail carrier enough room to get to the mailboxes.Please try and park on the EVEN side of the street only.
Also, make sure you are not parked on peoples lawns, try to stay on the road.

2) Make sure you bring all bike gear needed...HELMETS, bike pump, saddle bags with tools and such to fix a flat, water bottles filled with electrolyte replacement, and nutritional needs.

Cue Sheet will be provided on Saturday before the start of the ride.

Group Training Ride, Saturday, April 26 @ 8:30 am

Notes: Please bring 2 water bottles, nutrition/food, cycling shoes, layers and proper gear for riding outdoors.
There will be a SAG Vehicle for this ride. You may put your SAG BAG with items in it in the SAG Vehicle.
Cancellations/Changes: Please check here, your email, and/or on the team Facebook page for all ride cancellations. We will try and inform you at least 1 hour prior to the ride start.

Group Training Ride, Saturday, September 28


Ride Start Location: Saratoga State Park, Gideon Putnam Parking Lot, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866
Ride Start Time:  8 am
Mileage: 50 miles (We are going to reuse the MHCC Half Century route from their event again this week.)
Terrain: This course is very scenic with rolling hills. This is our first group taper ride. You should find this ride a bit less challenging than some of our previous rides.
Notes: 
1)  Donna and Melissa will be splitting the SAG driving/riding for this ride. Please make sure you bring enough food with you to sustain you through 50 miles. There will be rest stops along the way, but neither have food sold on premises.
The 2 Scheduled Rest Stops along the way are at miles 39(Saratoga Monument), and 20 (Moreau State Park). 
2) Make sure you bring all bike gear needed...HELMETS, bike pump, saddle bags with tools and such to fix a flat, water bottles filled with electrolyte replacement, and nutritional needs. Layer up, remember, more is better, you will be able to ditch anything after the first loop if you need to.

Group Training Ride and Pool Party, Saturday, Sept. 14


Ride Start Location: Laura's House, 43 Sheffield Rd., Gansevoort, NY 12831
Ride Start Time: Start time is 7:30 am for ALL riders (you must be ready to ride at 7:30 am)  
Pool Party to immediately follow the ride. Please bring something to share with the group. Bring a change of clothes and/or bathing suit for after the ride.
ALL RIDERS: PLEASE EMAIL LAURA AND MELISSA TO LET THEM KNOW IF YOU ARE ATTENDING EITHER THE RIDE, PARTY, OR BOTH.
Mileage: 70 miles
Directions: Please use address above with MapQuest, Google Maps, etc.
Terrain: There are a few CAT 5 climbs on this route. 
Notes: 
1) Laura will be our SAG vehicle for this ride and will be equipped with a first aid kit, water, PowerAid electrolyte powder, nutrition bars and gels if you need it before/after our scheduled rest stops. Feel free to bring snacks and beverages that need to be chilled to be put in the cooler (until full). 
2) Make sure you bring all bike gear needed...HELMETS, bike pump, saddle bags with tools and such to fix a flat, water bottles filled with electrolyte replacement, and nutritional needs.

Group Training Ride, Saturday, August 31 and Saturday, September 7


Group Training Ride, Saturday, Aug. 31 with party to follow at Julie Gauer's
Ride Start Location: Melissa's House, 3 Battery Blvd., Mechanicville, NY 12118
Ride Start Time: 7:30 am for ALL 60 mile riders (you must be ready to ride at 7:30 am)  
Mileage: Approximately 60 miles.
Note: There also will be a shorter 25 ride led by Melissa (and will join with team) for their second half. The shorter route will be fairly flat with no category hill climbs. This ride will start around 10am once the full route riders come by.

If you are parking on the street making sure not to block any mailboxesYou must give the mail carrier enough room to get to the mailboxes with her mail truck. 
Please try and park on the EVEN side of the street only. 
Also, make sure you are not parked on peoples lawns, try to stay on the road. 

2) Aaron will be driving the SAG vehicle for this ride
The SAG will be equipped with the usual; a first aid kit, water, and snacks. Feel free to bring your own snacks and beverages that need to be chilled to be put in the cooler (until full). You may put additional clothing in the SAG for later use or you can ditch layers as you progress through the ride if needed as well. NO LARGE BAGS/COOLERS WILL BE ALLOWED. There is only so much space available, so please only bring what you think you will need. We need extra space available if someone needs to be taken off the course.

3) Make sure you bring all bike gear needed...HELMETS, bike pump, saddle bags with tools and such to fix a flat, water bottles filled with electrolyte replacement, and nutritional needs. Layer up, remember, more is better, you will be able to ditch anything after the first loop if you need to.

4) Julie and Brian's Party Location: 5 Caraway Ct., Clifton Park 12065. Party starts at 2 pm and goes until they kick you out!

Mileage: Metric Century for TNT fundraising participants. TNT is choosing Saturday to ride, but there is a Sunday ride option for anyone who would like to ride on Sunday instead.

Group Training Rides for Sunday, June 30 & Saturday, July 6

SUNDAY, JUNE 30
Ride Start Location: Lakeside Farms 
(GPS address: 336 Schauber Rd., Ballston Lake, NY 12019) 
Directions:  
From South: Take the Northway (I-87) North to Exit 11. Turn left off the exit onto Round Lake Road. Lakeside Farms is 2.5 miles down the road at a bend in the road.
From North: Take the Northway (I-87) South to Exit 11. Turn right off the exit onto Round Lake Road. Lakeside Farms is 2.5 miles down the road at a bend in the road.
Ride Start Time: 8 am for ALL riders (you must be ready to ride at 8 am)  
Mileage: 31.5 miles total 
Terrain: Rolling hills and scenic.
Notes: 
1) IMPORTANT: Parking...please park in the back of the overflow lot on Lake Rd, not the main lot in front. Park all the way in the back side of the lot out of the way of paying customers. The owners are kind enough to let us park in their lot, so we don't want to lose this privilege. 
2) There is one Rest Stops at Stewart's at mile 21.
3) Please be courteous to your team mates making sure you arrive ahead of time to pump up tires, etc so that you are ready to roll at 8 a.m. 
If you get there late, you will most likely will be left behind. 
4) Make sure you bring all bike gear needed...HELMETS, bike pump, saddle bags with tools and such to fix a flat, water bottles filled with electrolyte replacement, and nutritional needs.

Ride Start Location: 91 Maxwell Road, Latham, 12110
Ride Start Time: 8 am for ALL riders (you must be ready to ride at 8 am)  
Mileage: 35 miles total 
Notes: 
1) This ride is a fundraiser for Mark Marshall who is doing the LP Ironman and trying to collect funds for LLS. The ride will start and finish at Mark's home. If it is a hot, sunny day, his pool will be open for any riders looking to cool off after the ride. Any donation, large or small, to his fundraising efforts will be greatly appreciated. However, it is not mandatory to donate, especially if you are a current fundraising participant, but is encouraged if you have the means. 
2) Please be courteous to your team mates making sure you arrive ahead of time to pump up tires, etc so that you are ready to roll at 8 a.m.

Ride Start Location: Ballston Lake Middle School, 173 Lake Hill Rd., Burnt Hills 12027
Ballston Lake Middle School is located on Lake Hill Road, about .4 miles west of Rte. 50. 
Ride Start Time: 8 am for ALL riders (you must be ready to ride at 8 am)
Mileage: 30 miles total. 
Coach Peter will be leading this ride.

Note: Please be courteous to your teammates making sure you arrive ahead of time to pump up tires, etc. so that you are ready to roll at 8 a.m. If you get there late, you will most likely will be left behind. Make sure you bring all bike gear needed...HELMETS, bike pump, saddle bags with tools and such to fix a flat, water bottles filled with electrolyte replacement, and nutritional needs. 

There will be no SAG vehicle for this ride.
