Great Job Upstate NY/VT!

First of all, great job to all who came out and rode on Saturday with The Herd. From what I was told, it was a cold start, and there was one issue with the cues sheet (my apologies)...but, everyone did an outstanding job. Since I live there, I know that ride posed a few challenges to you (like maybe, George Thompson?), so I was really glad to hear that you all made it through with flying colors!

This week teammate Judy returned from the sunny state of Florida and started off the ride with this weeks Mission Moment. Here is why Judy rides for TNT:
My daughter, Katie, is my inspiration. She was beautiful, smart, strong, loving,

determined, and never shied away from new challenges. In Sept. 2008 Katie was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia. She was 30. The doctor told us that treatment really hadn’t changed in 30 years. When asked about her chances, his first response was, “Do you really want to know?” Well, medical science was unable to beat Katie’s leukemia, and just 14 months after her diagnosis and every conceivable treatment, she died on Oct. 26, 2009. She was 31. Though Katie lost her battle, I have a need for something positive to result from her struggle. Maybe other families won’t have to go through what we have. That’s why I have made a personal commitment to do one endurance event a year for LLS, and to raise as much as I possibly can each time. With
Katie’s inspiration, I have accepted challenges I never would have considered. I run, cycle, and swim with Katie in my heart, raising money for cures in memory of all whose lives have been cut short way, way too soon.
