Ride Location: Golds Gym, Latham NY (in KMart plaza off of Rte. 2)
Ride Start Time: 10:30 am
Notes: Sorry, we will not be outside just yet, it is still to cold. But, hopefully we will start April out with our first ride outside. We will be finishing up this week with our base building phase of training. This week we will be doing an Interval ride working in the range of 65-92% of your MHR working on endurance and hill climbing. Still get those endurance rides in during the week as scheduled (65-75% MHR) and finish building your base. You can add a little intensity, no higher then 85%, on one of your rides during the week as long as you have a day of rest after. This weekends ride will be a little longer for a total of 1-hour and 50 minutes of riding time. Your training volume (miles) will continue to gradually increase so you will need to make sure you are getting in your mileage as well as your rest days.
Please bring 2 water bottles with some sort of electrolyte replacement and any nutritional needs for a 2-hour ride. You want to get used to eating during the course of your rides as well as staying properly hydrated.
