Hello, HERD! Montauk teammate Donna "Powerhouse" Dixon invites any and all Herdies to join her, Olya Prevo, Catherine Bologna, and Shannon Guastella on January 1 in Lake George for the Polar Bear Plunge. Yes, this means running in to a freezing cold lake with not much on. Yup.
Last year, Donna, Catherine, and Olya, along with Jillian Matundan, Keylla Capote, and Steve Smith used this "refreshing and renewing adventure" as a fundraiser. These intrepid Herdies brought in over $5,500 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in just under a week by sending out challenges on Facebook and email, like, "If I can get $500 in donations by New Year's Eve, I'm going in!"
This year, these ladies are willing to "Freeze Cancer's Ass Off!" again and would love some more crazy moo cows to join them. If you're interested, email Donna at donnadixon215@gmail.com or send her a Facebook message for details.
