Ride Start Time: 8 am for ALL riders (you must be ready to ride at 8 am)
Mileage: 50 miles total. For a shorter ride, and Out-and-Back loop is suggested.
Directions:
The park and ride is near Elm Avenue Park, the intersection of Rte. 32 (the Delmar Bypass)
and Elm Ave. If you are coming from 787, take it to the end (9W) turn right on 9W,
continue 1.5 miles or so to Rte. 32 (the route forks, take the right fork - just past Stewart's
on the right), towards Delmar. Continue to the 5th light, turn left and take the immediate
right into the Park and Ride lot.

If you are coming from the Northway, get on 90E, to Exit 4 (Slingerlands/Voorhesville) onto
Rte. 85. Stay on 85 through 4 rotaries (the last one is really at New Scotland Road), continue straight, cross Kenwood light, Delaware Ave. light, road becomes Cherry Ave. and then
Elm Ave. As you pass the Luthern Church it becomes Elm Ave. The next light is the intersection
of Elm AVe and the 32/Delmar Bypass and turn right into the Park and Ride.
Rte. 85. Stay on 85 through 4 rotaries (the last one is really at New Scotland Road), continue straight, cross Kenwood light, Delaware Ave. light, road becomes Cherry Ave. and then
Elm Ave. As you pass the Luthern Church it becomes Elm Ave. The next light is the intersection
of Elm AVe and the 32/Delmar Bypass and turn right into the Park and Ride.
Terrain: Rolling hills and scenic.
Notes:
1) We will have a SAG vehicle for all rides equipped with a first aid kit, water, PowerAid electrolyte powder, nutrition bars and gels if you need it before/after our scheduled rest stops. Feel free to bring snacks and beverages that need to be chilled to be put in the cooler (until full). Thank you Andrea for being our SAG this week! 2) There are 2 Stewart's Rest Stops along the way at miles 23 and 41.
3) Please be courteous to your team mates making sure you arrive ahead of time to pump up tires, etc so that you are ready to roll at 8 a.m. If you get there late, you will most likely will be left behind.
4) Make sure you bring all bike gear needed...HELMETS, bike pump, saddle bags with tools and such to fix a flat, water bottles filled with electrolyte replacement, and nutritional needs. Layer up, remember, more is better, you will be able to ditch anything after the first loop if you need to.
