Ride Start Location: Lock 4 State Park, Stillwater (link for info on the park: http://www.renstrust.org/publications/barge-canal?start=3 )
Ride Start Times: Please be courteous to others and be there fully ready to ride by 9:00. Rain at start cancels the ride.
Mileage: 42+ miles
Directions: Route 4/32 to Stillwater and then take Stillwater Bridge over the Hudson and immediately take 2nd right into the park.
Terrain: Very scenic, mostly back roads by the Hudson and Hoosic Rivers, the Tomhannock Reservoir and Buttermilk Falls with some flat, some rolling hills and some decent climbs (easier than Lake George!).
Notes: 1.) There are NO REST STOPS on this ride until mile 37, so be sure to bring plenty of liquids and nourishment. There are toilet facilities at the park.
2.) Picnic: For those who want, and if the weather is cooperative, bring some eats to share after the ride. There are tables at the park. Dick will bring some beer and soda.
3.) Wear your TNT colors if you have them, but remember to dress in removable and storable layers. As of 10/11 the weather forecast is for a temp of 60 and sunny.
